Whats been happening on the Ranch..............

June 16, Sessions are filling up. All those who want to to reregister for another session, please leave session request in comments of feedback. I may forget if you tell me and session will be full. The camps and kids have been a blast ,All parents feedback so far has been great, "my son will not stop talking at dinner and then falls asleep" . I am working with insurance companies to try to get more days , the weekends setup for dads and moms to ride with kids but training is always the issue with liability, we are working on a program after kids have been through summer camp that might aid in training their parents to ride safely that might work. Stay tuned , we are working on turning this place into one of the neatest places, you can have fun at. July 4th week we are adding some more features to the ranch - more animals and trails.

June 7, Alright ! summer camps start Monday , we can't wait. Tracks and trails all groomed and the pool is finished and working great. All the bikes are gassed and ready for riders. We had alot of good feedback from our many visitors, thanks and we are always adding things to the to the ranch for the camp .

June 2, well what a whirl wind of a month , next week we start our first camps. If you have not had a chance to visit the ranch at one of our open houses , you may call for an appointment M-F from 3:30-5:00pm to see the ranch. We have had fun meeting everyone at the open houses. What a great bunch of families. We are working on some days to get the families involved with the fun at the ranch.

A note on registrations, we have children of all ages and both boys and girls registered now . If your son or daughter needs a friend or worried about that , just ask us and we can tell you what session . We pretty much have a 8 , 10, and 13 or 14 year old in every session. Children will befriend just about anyone at the ranch, its just a great place to be. But usually riders with the same ability will become friends which has nothing to do with age. We have at least 8 children in every session now and one session full.

May 24, Our Open Houses are going fine , if you have not seen the ranch then click on feed back and come on out. The finishing touches are going on our new swimming pool next week. Our Shuttle Van just got new audio and vidio put in it for kids to view themselves on their day's riding . Entertainment For van rides back and forth from the ranch.

May 17th , New dirt for all our tracks getting them in shape ,added some more trails. Lots of activity on the ranch. Everyone has been excited at our open houses, Its not what most people expected to see...
"wow its bigger then it looked" , "this place is way cool" , and from many of the parents " can I come here"
We really appreciate all the great comments from the parents and the children.

May 4, 20008 First Saturday Open House full . All our new bikes looking good and security routines are working great .

Now Scheduling for 2nd Saturday 17 and remainng Saturdays in May for visitors .

May 1st our Sessions are all getting a few campers in them July 28 session is Fulll.....

May 1, 2008 scheduling our first Open House Saturday May 10, 2008 , FULL . Come take a tour of the ranch and check out some of the dirt bikes. Set up for kids and parents to meet the staff of Iron Horse Country Ranch and see what summer camp and the ranch is all about.

Open House will be scheduled on every Saturday in May by invitation only as to not overcrowd the ranch. Please click on the Open House link and make a request to receive your invitation. OPEN HOUSE!

April 27 - Fixed security, person living on sight now, alarms, cameras and blew the budget on steel bars. Bikes have been replaced but kept off sight now.

April ending - construction on pool to finish by May 16

April 20 Sunday night, all our bikes were stolen from ranch, major depression. We could not believe it! Who would do such a thing?

Don't worry we are moving on .....Summer Camp still on. We decided to cancel a Grand opening and will have several, more personal, invitational Saturdays for a set amount of families each week. We have plenty of room sign up by clicking on feedback - email on home page.

April 15, we have started advertising only in the Leander School district area in Northwest Austin. We believe this is a good area to start with for our first year. Our shuttle vans can get children out to ranch and back easily from this area for convient pickup for parents. We will only have 12 campers per our 11 sessions this first year. Parents are welcome from other areas to bring their children to the ranch - we just don't have shuttle service.

April 1, 2008 Our new summer session registration opened up.

April - for the month we have been finishing up our new Rec Center and training range and tracks.

April - Great person joining our team assistant director from Camp Balcones Springs. Loads of experience with children, Bryan Reiswig.

To Register for Session just click on feed back Rider Picture home page and tell us which session you would like and you got it. (Its on first come first serve basis.) You can then mail or paypal payment and mail us the forms.

Several people have asked about signing up now, worried they might not get a space. You may sign up now and your space will be reserved without payment with enough time for you to come to an open House and then you can make a deposit. We will cancel any reservations that do not have a scheduled Open House or depoist that is not received within 5 days of reservation. Complete camp session fee is due 30 days before session start date.
