One of the greatest experiences your child will ever have is to drive
an off road motorcycle.
It would have been rare to think 20 years ago, that a camp like this would not even exist today.
But that is the reality, and this is our motivation - giving kids a chance to ride at one of the only dirt bike Camps in the country.
We accept boys and girls ages 8-15, and they all have a blast. We have 15 year olds begging to come back at 16 and little brothers and sisters under 8 wanting to get in. This is no kiddie park .... but it is no wild west either!
And that is what makes it so real and rewarding for the kids. Most kids have never ridden before coming to the ranch. Our number one goal is for the kids to have fun in a safe enviroment full of excitement.
Our ranch is a great resort and learning center for the kids to ride. Driving a motorcyle will be the biggest thing your child has experienced in their lives so far. Most kids will really come alive with the confidence gains and the star power they feel by riding. Our ranch has a rec. center, club house, swimming pool,
motorcycle
training range, motocross tracks, several trails and of course the ranch itself
with our farm animals, ponds and creeks to explore.
Our Motorcycles are Honda CRF 50, 70, 80, 100, and 150F off road trail bike models.
We have shuttle service from Northwest Austin , snacks and drinks included.
We provide everything your child needs - a great place to
ride with instruction and a 6 to 1 ratio of riders to instructor.
All participants will go through riding orientation and will be with a coach around the ranch.
From our practice arena to trails and motocross tracks, safety is our first concern.
Instructors are always watching or instructing .
Our training curriculum is not based on competition;
we teach the kids to have a fun time on
the motorcycles without racing. We use an interesting mix of ranch
activities during rest breaks, from taking care of the farm animals to fishing, creating a wonderful experience for the kids. They will gain huge amounts of confidence while learning to ride and will make a lot of new friends at the ranch.
They usually don't want to go back to the "boring city".
As director and owner of the Iron Horse Country Ranch, we have created a unique and awesome place for kids and families to enjoy. As a father of two successful riders now and previous Motorcycle Safety Foundation Instructor you can rest assured , we have the experience in training new riders the safest way to get riding.
All of our staff are trained to
teach kids to ride motorcycles. We have created motorcyle drills, exercises and training lessons to get beginner riders riding well quickly, lessoning the risk of injury. We have put more than 600 riders through our program to date without any serious injuries. We have refined our equipment and motorcycles and continually update our training program to improve it and make it easier for kids and parents to ride safely. We believe we have become the only successful camp in Texas or the U.S for riding because we have found the right way to manage riders, equipment and terrain to minimize the risk of injury in our unique summer camp program. All of our staff is specially trained in our program of motorcycle education for children riders combined with a low ratio of staff to riders. Your child’s safety is our main concern
.
We want all families and their children to have a
fun, safe time at the ranch.
We have different levels of tracks and trails to make it fun for all riders.
We end every day with a video review.
We have carts with refreshments, a rec. center and a swimming pool.
We would like everyone to have fun while riding and exploring the ranch. Your kids will
make new friends while having the time of their lives.
Our camp will give your child a week they won’t soon forget, at the Iron Horse Country Ranch.
You may come and see the ranch on any Saturday. Give us a call or click on feedback with any questions.
